As we quickly approach 2020, now is a great time to reflect on the amazing proposals that took place this year.

Specialising in and offering a large collection of engagement rings, our team at Midas Jewellery have had the pleasure of assisting and hearing about many successful proposal stories.

From proposals in secret spots to popping the question abroad, there have been many engagement stories in the past months that included some of our stunning diamond engagement rings.

Mitchell and Kyra

This will certainly be a holiday they will never forget! Look at these breathtaking images from Mitchell and Kyra’s engagement!

Popping the question whilst holidaying in Turkey, the couple’s gorgeous pear-shaped engagement ring effortlessly fits in with the pink sky dotted with hot air balloons.

Anthony and Natalie

Wow, wow, wow! Held on the gorgeous foreshore of the Sydney Harbour, Anthony and Natalie’s engagement is one for the books.

Overlooking the Harbour Bridge, a red carpet lined with candles and rose petals led up to the words ‘Marry Me’ in letter lights. Talk about a grand gesture!

Andy and Sarah

What a picturesque setting! Take a look at Andy’s proposal to Sarah.

Set high in the blue mountains, this romantic set-up was sure to get a yes! Not to mention the glamorous oval cut diamond with an invisible halo. What more could a girl want?

Aaron and Brittany

The sky has never looked so good! This year, Aaron and Brittany took flight with their engagement, making their trip to Hawaii one they’ll never forget.

Not only did they get to fly over the gorgeous Honolulu, but they are now one step closer to their happily ever after with their stunning pear-shaped halo engagement ring!

Benji and Jess

What a backdrop! Benji and Jess took a step closer to their future life together on top of the iconic Sydney Eye Tower.

Add in their gorgeous oval engagement ring and the Sydney skyline, this day was meant to end with a ‘yes’!

Ray and Valentina

Hawaii is the place to be! Flying up to a Hawaiian mountain ridge, the husband and bride-to-be sealed their fate overlooking a beautiful ranch and clear-blue coastlines.

A film-worthy proposal featuring one of our enchanting oval engagement rings, this is sure to be Valentina and Ray’s best holiday yet!

Jake and Danielle

A dream proposal, Jake and Danielle took their commitment to the next level while holidaying over in Bali.

Taking advantage of the gorgeous Bali nature, the proposal took place on a private veranda where dinner was set.

Around the table were scattered petals and a ‘Marry me’ set up accompanied by a heart of flowers, making this one of the sweetest Midas proposals yet!

John and Sabrina

What a day! Take a peek at this proposal that’s taken place right here in Sydney!

Highlighting the world-renowned bridge in the background, Sabrina and John’s engagement took to the water on a boat in the sparkling Sydney Harbour. Featuring a custom-made pear-shaped design, the engagement ring absolutely sparkled in the glowing sun!

Daniel and Tessa

Who says you have to go overseas for an unforgettable proposal? Daniel and Tessa’s engagement begs to differ!

Set in the scenic Kangaroo Valley, this proposal was simply gorgeous. Paired with a delicate diamond solitaire engagement ring, this proposal was meant to get a ‘yes’!

Jake and Elle

Best. Date. Ever. This proposal screams romance – right from the dreamy location all the way to the dazzling engagement ring.

During a getaway to Peppers Manor House, this couple went on an adorable picnic that would change their lives forever! Written upon a scrumptious heart shaped-cookie, the words ‘Will you marry me?’ has never looked so good!

Charbel and Jessica

Talk about romance! Charbel and Jessica’s engagement was certainly one they’ll always remember.

With ‘Marry me’ spelled out in big letter lights, it is no wonder this romantic gesture will be one they’ll remember forever.

With a combination of a halo ring design, rose petals, candles and a red carpet, it doesn’t come as a surprise that this proposal received a big yes!

Johnathan and Heidi

This was an adventure they will never forget!

With their very own custom-designed pear-shaped engagement ring inside a gleaming oyster shell, Johnathan and Heidi certainly had an unforgettable engagement that was and will forever be unique and special!

Aymin and Mary

Being one of our first proposals in 2019, Aymin and Mary certainly set the bar high from early on!

Set on a glorious spot overlooking the water, the polished white gazebo stood out with the elegant props used.

From a stunning square arch decorated with greenery and roses to the candles and rose petals scattered on the floor, this engagement was definitely magical for all involved.

Anthony and Stefanie

A proposal that’s absolutely full of affection, Anthony popped the question to Stefanie in a way that showcased their love for animals!

Attached to a red collar, a dog tag accompanied by a pretty bow and ribbon ensemble read ‘Will you marry me?’.

Topping it off with a stunning diamond band engagement ring, this proposal is certainly one that screams love!

A big congratulations to all the couples above and every couple we’ve played a part in on their proposals! It is clear to see 2019 was a fantastic year for engagements!
